How we work

What we report, where it comes from, what the machines do, what people do, and what happens when we get it wrong.

Two kinds of story

Wire items say only what an official source says. Every claim in a Wire item must match words on the source page, the key line is quoted, and the source is linked. No opinion, no hook in the headline.

Analysis is ours: what a change means for marketers and businesses in Egypt and the Gulf, and what to do about it. A named person at Aurex reads and signs off every Analysis before it goes live.

Where the news comes from

We only watch official sources: the release notes, API changelogs, pricing pages, model cards, product blogs and newsrooms of the AI labs and the ad platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snap and others). A source is added only in a reviewed change to our list of official sites. If a page redirects somewhere else, we stop reading it.

Research papers and model uploads (arXiv, Hugging Face) are written by whoever posts them, so stories from them always wait for a person, whatever they say.

How AI is used

Software checks the sources for changes. An AI model drafts the story from the changed text, and a separate check compares every claim in the draft with the source, word for word. Drafts that fail the check are not published. People decide what goes live, set the daily limit, and can stop the whole system at any time.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix the story and add a dated note under it saying what was wrong and what it says now. We don't quietly edit a mistake away, and we don't delete correction notes.

If a source changes or withdraws what it said, we update the story the same way and say so.

If a story should not have run at all, we take it down and list it on this page with the date and the reason.

To report an error, contact us and start your message with "Correction". Tell us the story and what's wrong. We aim to reply within two working days.

Independence

Aurex is a creative and marketing agency. We don't take payment for coverage. A story that names one of our clients never publishes on its own: a person decides, and the story says so.
